Hey yall!
Jon here! So after a stimulating outing to Cirque Du Soleil this last Spring during a little perusing through Powell's, Megan and I decided to read through Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy together!
If you don't know what the Divine Comedy is you can read about it here.
This blog was created so that we could post nightly about our reading from the day and then discuss after. Megan and I will both be using this same blog, so there will be two posts nightly.
I encourage you to pick up a copy (at the book store, or library. OR alternately you can read it in entirety at About.com at the link above) and follow along. Megan is more in tune with the literary aspect, and I am more in tune with the allegorical aspect. And of course you can feel free to comment as often as you like, we would love to hear your input on the subject matter, or even on our personal takes on the subject matter. But don't feel obligated to do so or even to read The Divine Comedy. We would love if you simply wanted to follow along for the ride this summer. Either way, we'll be here nightly.
It's going to be a few days yet before we get started. As soon as Megan is done with finals we're going to go full speed ahead. The day before we take off I will post again filling you in on what we will be reading on day 1, just in case you're crazy enough to read along with!
So if you're reading this, we thank you. It's gunna be long, it's gunna be rough. We thank you in advance for your input, and if not, we'll see you on the otherside.
The other half of MegaJon
